Introducing The Soulful 88’s!!
This is a dynamic rockin’ blues band with a whole lotta’ soul. “Sweet” Billy Spaulding decided to step out from behind the drums, not completely though, after 25 plus years of professional playing with many of the Northwest’s top Blues and R&B artists including Hughs Blues, The Nightsticks, Kim Field and The Mighty Titans of Tone, James King and The Southsiders and The T-Town Aces. Billy is a multiple award winner for The WBS BB Awards. He plays piano, organ and he is the vocalist as well for The Soulful 88’s.
Tom “T-Boy” Boyle is one of the finest and fiercest blues guitarists in the region. He is a multiple award winner for The WBS BB Awards. He has played in some of the best line-ups in the Northwest Blues scene including The Slackmasters, Drivin’ Wheel, The Led Jaxson Band, Nightlife, multiple award winning band Becki Sue and her Big Rockin’ Daddies and The T-Town Aces. Playing Upright Bass is Les “Wildchild” White from Wichita, Kansas who has been living and playing music in Seattle since 1989. He is a multiple award winner for The WBS BB Awards. He has also been in some great Northwest Blues Bands including The Nightsticks, The T-Town Aces as well as Becki Sue and her Big Rockin’ Daddies which toured from Canada to Mexico to Memphis and Clarksdale. Rounding out the band is Scott Rongey layin’ it down on the tubs. Scott has had a long career in the Northwest playing with many top acts including The Red Hot Blues Sisters and The Rece Jay Band. He has competed in the International Blues Challenge with Suze Sims and her band as well as being a sought after session player.
