She has 16 Oscar nominations (zero wins) and has been named Songwriter of the Year four times, yet she still hustles for each and every song with the eagerness of a new kid on the block. Diane Warren is one of the most influential musicians you’ve never heard of.
Most recently, her song ‘The Journey’ was nominated for a 2025 Academy Award for Best Original Song in the film The Six Triple Eight (performed by H.E.R.), but it lost to ‘El Mal’ in Emilia Pérez.
