Joel Astley Band

Since forming his first band in 2014, he has built a reputation as a world class frontman, harmonica player, singer, songwriter and bandleader, and has collected over 18 Washington Blues Society’s “Best of the Blues” Awards in just a few years.

Joel signed with Blue Heart Records and in 2024, and is also a featured artist with Lee Oskar Harmonicas. His first album “Seattle to Greaseland” is receiving much acclaim, garnering rave reviews from blues music critics worldwide. It debuted (August 18, 2023) at Number 7 on the Billboard Blues chart, and has received a Silver Medal from the Global Music Awards.

Joel Astley is on multiple recordings, has been featured on radio, podcasts and television, and he can be seen performing live with his band year-round. Joel and his band have several nominations in 2025 from WBS Best of the Blues Awards and have been touring extensively across the US.

An interesting side note: Joel Astley came to music after many years working in the visual arts. He is still an active visual artist; his paintings, prints and drawings are in many private collections, and his work has even appeared on several album covers.
