The Witches Brew is back!
When witches go riding, and black cats are seen, the moon laughs and whispers, ’tis near Halloween.
Grab your broomsticks and join us for the 2nd annual Gig Harbor Witches Brew! Whether you’re a budding witch or full blown Sanderson sister, this event is perfect for all skill levels. So, gather your fellow wizards and witches, and let’s hit the water.
We will meet at the Gig Harbor boat launch at 2pm and launch shortly after. Paddle through the harbor at your own pace and head to the Gig Harbor Lighthouse. Bring your own preferred beverage to toast the coven and enjoy before heading back to the dock. We will grab a group witch picture here!
Update – Deadmans Island Kayak and SUP is offering rentals for anyone who wants to join but does not have a vessel! $30 for the 3-hour event. Reserve ahead of time by going to
www.deadmanskayaksup.com and your rental will be on-site at the boat launch waiting for you.
This year we will be a ‘fill the caldron’ charitable component to the event! We have officially partnered with GHPFish this year! I am so excited to raise money and gather needed items for those in need in our community. We will be filling the caldron this year in support of GHPFish!
Please bring non-perishable items to the boat launch. We will collect all items prior to launching. We will also have a poster on site if you would like to make a donation directly to Fish to support their efforts.
Here is a list of the most needed items:
Breakfast cereal, Tuna, Juice, Canned soup, Canned tomatoes/green beans/corn, Cookies, Crackers, Snacks, Coffee, Tea
If you fancy, bring candy or other Halloween treats to pass to spectators downtown as we pass the public docks. A lot of our witches fly off to Seven Seas for a pint after the lighthouse.
Costumes are HIGHLY encouraged. Grab your board and come out with your best witch outfit, broomstick paddles, dry ice caldrons, lights and anything else you can think of. Last year we had 50+ witches floating through the harbor together and descending on the lighthouse.
This is a bring/rent your own vessel event.
Disclaimer: This is a non-sanctioned event and by choosing to participate you do so at your own risk. This event is ALL AGES! You are responsible for your own safety and others on your vessel.
